Our Mission

Our mission is to seek candidates to run for office who will uphold the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States and assist those candidates in obtaining needed signatures to be placed on the Indiana Ballot. Education is also key to our work as we expose the two party system and show why voting for third party candidates is essential to bringing real change to our country.

Our Team

Joseph Henzler, State Chairman: At the first annual state convention of the Constitution Party of Indiana on September 17, 2011, I was elected to succeed Audrey Queckboerner as State Chair. I want to thank those attending for this vote of confidence in me. I am truly humbled by this. I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't thank Audrey personally for her tireless efforts in establishing the Party in Indiana. Audrey had the vision, drive and determination necessary to see to the birth of the Party in the Hoosier State and anything that we accomplish will be, in large part, the fruit of her efforts.

Audrey remains with the Party as membership secretary and public relations director, as does her husband, Gary, who serves as secretary.   Fred Bailey stays on as treasurer. Thanks, too, to them for the time and effort they've dedicated to get the Party where it is today. Thus far it's been a grueling learning experience for us all, and for the near future I can only promise the more of the same, but with the assurance that the fruit will be well worth the pain.

I'm a native Midwesterner, born and raised in Toledo, Ohio in a thoroughly blue collar family. I joined the Ohio National Guard in 1979 where I took my first oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. I studied political science at the University of Toledo, but didn't attain a degree. I entered on active duty with the US Army in 1985 and served until 1997 as a combat engineer. After active duty, I resumed my service with the National Guard, retiring from the military altogether in 2000. I held positions as a squad leader, platoon sergeant and company operations sergeant.

I've been married twice, divorced once and widowered once. I'm the father of two children and the step father of six.

My recent experience with the Constitution Party is my first foray into the arena of politics. It wasn't intentional. My original intent was to just "check things out. Audrey's (not so) gentle persuasion led me to volunteer for an office on the State Central committee as first vice chairman. I come from a long line of Democrats and was probably the first of my family to vote for a GOP candidate since the first Henzler landed in New York in 1859. I consistently voted Republican for the next thirty years. It took me that long to realize that nothing really changed regardless of which political party held power. I toyed with the idea of the Constitution Party during the 2008 election, but didn't commit to the CP until after the 2010 election. The final straw for me was the budget debacle of spring 2011 when Speaker Boehner and the GOP caved in to the demands of the White House while standing on the verge of being able to make some impact on the federal deficit. I met Audrey during this period, and the rest, as they say, is history.

So...I hope you've heard enough about me, because from here on out it's about us, this Party, the State of Indiana and these United States of America.

As our tagline states, "... because voting your values matters!"

Audrey Queckboerner, Membership Secretary: As a registered voter since 1995, my political involvement basically revolved around voting in the general elections and occasionally writing legislators about bills. It wasn’t until 2008 that my husband and I became active working on Ron Paul’s campaign for the presidency. We quickly saw how corrupt the Republican Party was when at their state convention they changed their own rules and would not let us nominate delegates to attend the GOP’s national convention.

However, I naively believed we could “take back the GOP” so I became involved locally even serving on the leadership of my county party and even ran for State Representative. It wasn’t until the 2010 primaries that I understood the GOP was not listening to the concerned patriots when we ran four good candidates in the U.S. Senate race. So they pulled Dan Coats out of retirement to run and he won by name recognition. I felt the GOP had betrayed us at both the state convention and the senate race so I left the GOP the summer of 2010 never to return. The more I understand, the more I realize there is no reforming the GOP. It is a house built on a faulty foundation with a structure that is rotten. Throwing a fresh coat of paint in one of it’s rooms (aka, electing a Ron or Rand Paul) is not going to change the house. It’s time to get out.

I was in complete awe when I discovered the Constitution Party and read their national platform. A party that actually addresses the root issues of our nation. I certainly never hear the Republican Party talk about getting the U.S. out of the U.N., abolishing the Federal Reserve and IRS, stopping the unconstitutional wars and foreign aid and getting serious about ending abortion and closing our borders. I knew I found my home in the Constitution Party.

For 9 months I served as the Point of Contact for the Constitution Party of Indiana and at our first state organizational meeting on May 14, 2011 I was elected as State Chair, a term I served until our first state convention on Sept. 17, 2011. I felt I had done the needed ground work to give birth to the state party and now it was time for new leadership to help this baby walk. I had been working with and training Joe Henzler to lead the party into its next phase of life and have full confidence he will do a good job as state chair. I’m happy to stay on board as membership secretary and the public relations director while at the same time involving myself in national party affairs. Currently I am designing and maintaining former Missouri State Representative Cynthia Davis’ website for her 2012 campaign and also assisting as an administrator on both the national Facebook Fan and Group pages.
