Instructions for volunteers gathering signatures:
- Be sure each petitioner you gather a signature for is a REGISTERED VOTER in Indiana.
- Make sure each line is filled out completely and no P.O. Boxes are allowed.
- Use one form for each county you are gathering signatures for (example: you are at an event with two people wanting to sign the petition. One lives in Marion County and one live in Shelby County. Each will have to sign a petition for their county requiring two different sheets).
- County name is to be filled in at the top of the form.
- We do NOT need a certain amount of signatures from each county or district. All of them could come from one county or anywhere in the state.
- Please send all completed petitions to 10426 Walnut Street, Leo, IN 46765. Deadline is June 30, 2012. This provides our party with enough time to submit them to county for verification and then to the state.
- We need a total of 34,195 signatures. Not impossible but will take a lot of work so please print off the forms and start collecting today. Remember once you have a compilation of several sheets that are complete, send them to 10426 Walnut St., Leo, IN 46765.
A resolution was passed at our last National Executive Committee Meeting to ask former Virginia Congressman Virgil Goode to consider the nomination to run as our presidential nominee. While at this time he cannot officially say one way or the other he will more than likely be one of our candidates. This does not mean he is THE candidate but is considering it. Our official nominee will not take place until AFTER our National Convention in April of 2012. Until then Virgil has graciously allowed us to use his name on the petition for Indiana. Virgil has been a Congressman as a Democrat, Independent and Republican. Realizing the two party system is destroying our nation, Virgil joined the Constitution Party, has donated financially to our candidates and has joined our Executive Committee attending all of our national committee meetings.
The important thing for petitioners to understand is by signing the petition we are offering them another choice for the presidential race, no matter who are final candidate is. Who doesn’t want more choices when voting? Especially when left with the choice between voting for Obama or another John McCain.
